Brian Carpizo has been an entrepreneur, executive, and consultant working in the information technology industry for 19 years. Prior to Eventric, was the Managing Director of Orchid Venture Partners where he worked with Eventric’s founders on its business strategy and fundraising efforts, culminating with Mr. Carpizo joining Eventric full time in May 2009 as CEO.
Prior to Orchid, in 2003 Brian founded and was the CEO of Junction Solutions, a $30MM provider of enterprise and e-Commerce software for retailers and consumer goods makers. Before founding Junction, he worked as a management consultant at Charter Consulting, where he served leading companies such as Abbott Laboratories and JD Edwards. Brian was a founding partner of technology consulting firm Horizon Consulting before its sale to FutureNext Consulting in 1999, where he served as VP of the E-Business Strategy business unit. Brian began his career with the Retail and Consumer Goods technology consulting practice at Accenture.
He holds a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. Brian was a finalist for the 2007 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, a finalist for the 2007 Illinois Information Technology Association (ITA) CityLIGHTS Award, and is a member of the Chicago Chapter of YPO, the Young Presidents Organization.
