Brian Bowman is a consumer Internet executive with expertise in general management, acquisition marketing, product strategy and social media. His experience spans start-up and large company environments with a track record of navigating online businesses to profitability while producing award-winning products.
He is the Founder/CEO of theComplete.me, the most natural dating experience offered on the Internet that allows you to easily share the conversations, photos, interests and friends you already have on social networks.
His key executive roles: Founder/CEO theComplete.me, VP Community Yahoo.com, VP Product Match.com, CMO Reply.com, VP of Product & Marketing InfoSpace.com and VP/GM ABC.com. He graduated from Purdue University, sits on advisory boards for Marin Software, oneGoodLove.com, Market Riders, Circle Builder and Affinity Circles and resides in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and two daughters.
Prior to theComplete.me, he was CMO of Reply.com where he helped architect the revenue growth from $20mm to $60mm and a S-1 filing. He conceived, patented and launched Reply!’s Click which delivered +30% of company’s gross margin. He built Reply! into a top 100 spender in Google AdWords and built the publisher business which led to acquisition of MerchantCircle.com.
While at Match.com, Mr. Bowman was responsible for product development, consumer experience and customer care. His efforts resulted in 30% increase in revenue increase and a 67% increase in customer registrations. He also initiated the acquisition of Zerodegrees.com a business networking company and launched Match’s friend social network.
As the Vice President, Community for Yahoo, he led global planning, positioning and product development. He was responsible for all aspects of Yahoo’s online community applications (360, Groups, Photos and Avatars) and platforms (Micro-Transactions, Reputation System, Ratings & Reviews and Message Boards). He is one of the few people in the world to have created more than one multi-million member online community, and has spent the past 10 years developing and running products based around member interaction and social networking.
Mr. Bowman also served as Vice President and General Manager for The Walt Disney Company’s ABC Television Network and as Director of New Media for Disney Channel where he oversaw many award-winning websites, including: Oscars.com, ZoogDisney.com and “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.”
