Brandon DiBernardo is an entrepreneur who has founded ventures ranging from high-definition video delivered via broadband to bespoke fragrance design, and who has also been involved in investment management. Most recently, he has served as the Chairman & CEO of Nyla Interactive, a media company focused on research and development in interactive media technologies.
At the age of twelve, Mr. DiBernardo witnessed several revolutions brewing on the Internet. Believing that these new ideas would be fundamental to the media industry and to improving content delivery, he founded several web publications and later an Internet television company. At age fifteen, Mr. DiBernardo was discussing the future of technology with industry leaders; by age seventeen, the work his companies had done had significantly advanced the concepts of ‘thin media’, participatory journalism, and Internet video. Through Nyla Interactive, Mr. DiBernardo has continued his work in these areas.
Mr. DiBernardo enjoys spending his time thinking creatively to conceptualize new ideas that promise to change the way people live and work, and he has made an unwavering dedication to reducing social inequity, particularly in third-world nations. Mr. DiBernardo is also active in research pertaining to the semantic web, cloud computing, and other emerging ideas, though he is primarily focused on consolidating technology with the media and entertainment industries. In addition to his position at Nyla Interactive, Mr. DiBernardo also serves as the Chairman & CEO of The DiBernardo Group, an investment firm involved in leveraged buyouts, real estate transactions, and venture capital, as well as the Chairman & Interim CEO of Nyla Studios, a motion picture, television, and music production and distribution company. Mr. DiBernardo resides in Los Angeles and New York.
