Polish Internet entrepreneur, founder and CEO of Filmaster, film buff and computer geek.
Before Filmaster, he founded a media group OSmedia.pl which grew to become a leading online source of news on IT, Linux and open source in Poland.
He graduated from PJIIT with a software engineering degree in 2005. Before starting his own ventures, he worked as a programmer, technical project lead and consultant in multiple software houses in Poland, Germany and United Kingdom.
Apart from his ventures, Borys is also actively lobbying for net neutrality in Poland and in Europe. In 2010 he lead a movement which resulted in blocking the law that was to enable the government to filter the Internet to remove unwanted content (like gambling sites). Over 80.000 people signed the online manifesto at stopcenzurze.eu resulting in negotiations with the Polish government and eventually withdrawing the legislation.
