Bob Summers has developed and marketed commercial software applications for consumers and enterprises since 1994. His focus is online video communities which include CU-See-Me, CineVideo, V-Fone, ICU2 and iSpQ VideoChat.
He is currently CEO and founder of Friendeo, his sixth startup. Bob grew iSpQ VideoChat, desktop video conferencing software, to 2.8 million users from 196 countries/territories.
He has written two books on Internet video conferencing: Official Microsoft NetMeeting Book, Microsoft Press and No Walls, No Limits: Unleashing Exchange Conferencing Server, Faucette Technical Publishing. Robert Scoble was a contributing author to the Official Microsoft Netmeeting Book.
Bob was named the ‘Young Entrepreneur of the Year’ by the Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce in 2002. Beyond his work responsibilities, Bob plays an active role in Southwestern Virginia’s economic development by serving on the board of directors of the Roanoke Blacksburg Technology Council, Virginia Tech E-Club and sponsoring FIRST Robotics.
Bob is founder of 460 Angels and TechPad.
