Bob is the regional Human Resource Business Partner supporting Thomson Reuters Markets within California. He supports numerous business units with offices in San Francisco, Los Gatos and Los Angeles. He transitioned into this role after StarMine was acquired by Reuters in January 2008.
Previously he was the HR director of StarMine Corporation and oversaw StarMine’s human resource functions including staffing, organizational development and change, employee relations, compliance, and benefits selection. StarMine is best known for “analyzing the analysts,” predicting earnings surprises, and intelligently filtering sell-side research. StarMine grew from twenty-five to over 125 employees, including expansion into Europe and Asia-Pacific, during his tenure. The company received many awards and recognition over the years, including 3 consecutive years on the Inc 500 list!
Prior to joining StarMine, Bob worked at two San Francisco-based internet start-ups as an in-house recruiter. Prior to that, he co-founded and managed a local hr/recruiting firm, People International LLC (1997 - 2000) where he assisted both start-up and international technology companies with recruiting and HR services.
