Bob co-founded Chinook Multimedia in 1997. He has overseen the development of all major Chinook projects since that time. In the process, he has helped to design hundreds of interactive learning components. As CEO, his vision of the key role of digital technologies in the research, creation, and dissemination of information has provided the leadership required to develop and sustain Chinook Multimedia’s growth. Recently, Bob has overseen Chinook’s development of the coole line of Web 2.0 tools. His particular areas of expertise include business development, strategic website planning, project management, authoring, and editing.
Bob Hesketh earned his PhD in Canadian History from the University of Alberta in 1993. Benefiting from a SSHRC Post-Doctoral Fellowship and an Izaak Walton Killam Memorial Doctoral Scholarship, Bob spent the next two years authoring Major C.H. Douglas and Alberta Social Credit Ideology and editing two books on Canadian history. He also began work on the massive CD-ROM/online history Canada, Confederation to Present.
