Bob Appel has been at the forefront of entertainment industry innovation for twenty years. As a founding executive and Vice President of A & R and Creative Services at Six Degrees Records in San Francisco, his assignments included studio production, live performances, television production, manufacturing, brand development and online business development. Bob spearheaded the digital music sales efforts at Six Degrees, driving production, content archiving, meta-data provisioning, website construction and e-commerce systems, as well as partnerships with digital distributors such as iTunes, Emusic and Ioda. Bob has also served as A & R manager for Windham Hill and was a principal of the seminal NewYork City music venue and record label The Knitting Factory.
