Blake Winchell has been investing in growing companies for over 25 years; he is the Managing Director of Partner Ventures and Managing General Partner of Fremont Ventures and is on the boards of BioSeek and eSilicon. He began his career at Price Waterhouse in Boston. Blake was an early employee of Bain and Company and helped open the West Coast office of Bain in 1978. Prior to joining Fremont Ventures, Blake was an investment professional with Leucadia National Corporation, the Channel Investment Group and Generation Ventures.
Blake holds an AB degree from Dartmouth College where he graduated with high honors in both English and Economics, was a Rufus Choate Scholar, and won the Henley Economics Award. He has an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is a Certified Public Accountant. He is on the International Advisory Board of the Instituto Empresa in Madrid, Spain, and the Advisory Council of the Gladstone Institutes of Technology in San Francisco where he chairs the Steering Committee.
