Blake Newman
Co-founder of Washington DC based web design firm, inQbation.
In his final months as an infantry paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division, the U.S. Army offered Sergeant Newman a vocational course to help integrate him back into society. Given the choice of bar tending or computer programming, he chose computers. Blake was introduced to computer programming in 1985 using an Apple computer hooked up to a television monitor.
An early pioneer in web development, 1993 Newman helped to build one of the first web pages hosted by the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) in 1993. Later, he went on to direct web content for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
Currently, Newman works with start-ups and first time entrepreneurs to help them establish their website presence.
