Bill Maris is reportedly going to help lead Google’s Venture Fund. Previously, he helped start Catalytic Health with Anne Wojcicki (Sergey Brin’s wife) and MacArthur Fellow David Green.
He has also worked as an investor (in technology and health care companies) on behalf of the wealthy Swedish Wallenberg family, and then went on to found Web hosting / data center company Burlee.com, which he later sold to Web.com.
Bill has a degree in neuroscience from Middlebury College.
