Bill Karamouzis is an entrepreneur and online media specialist. Having expertise in operations leadership, strategic planning, product development and partner alliances, Karamouzis has conceptualized and launched what became one of the largest media entertainment networks in Canada and 3 successful business sales.
Karamouzis purchased AddictingGames (www.addictinggames.com) and quickly built AddictingGames into one of the most visit websites in the world. In 2005 AddictingGames was sold to Atom Entertainment. This sale was substantial enough to require approval under the Investment Canada Act and Karamouzis was one of the largest shareholders of Atom Entertainment when it was acquired by Viacom for 200 million dollars August 2006.
In 2008 Karamouzis launched Hallpass Media, a collection of gaming websites. Hallpass Media reaches over 6 million gamers month (Quantcast). April 2011 Hallpass Media was acquired by MindJolt, a company founded by Chris DeWolfe founder and former CEO of MySpace. This highly publicized sale received press coverage in the New York Times, All Things D, Tech Crunch, Venture Beat and many other business publications.
Karamouzis has completed his MBA from Queens University and continues to consult media and gaming executives on building traffic and monetizing websites.
