Bill Kantar, a 10-year digital media veteran, is the managing director of account management at Yahoo!
Kantar joined Overture Services in 2000 to support its business development efforts in acquiring key search resellers. His passion for clients and his focus on operational efficiency landed him various roles in sales and account management, where he incubated a team focused on growing revenue from digital agencies and search engine marketing firms. In 2002, he was promoted to a newly formed position leading the national account management team, including overseeing Overture’s cross-border initiatives. When Overture was acquired by Yahoo!, Kantar transitioned to a new role with responsibility for both search and display products across Yahoo!’s highest value advertisers.
Prior to joining Yahoo!, Kantar worked for Wilden, managing a team responsible for global marketing initiatives. His team’s efforts helped establish Wilden as the market leader in the air-operated double-diaphragm pump industry. Prior to that, Kantar helped launch GameXpress, a mail order video gaming company with retail stores in California and Texas.
Kantar holds a B.S. degree in Marketing from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona. He speaks three languages and has attended a variety of ongoing leadership development courses at the Peter Drucker School of Management and Pepperdine University.
Kantar is a master scuba diver and has traveled throughout Southeast Asia following his passion for diving. He resides in Pasadena, California with his wife Rana and his son, Zane.
