Bill Fumerola has worked in a variety of positions in the Internet/Web industry. He cut his teeth starting as a programmer working on Microsoft Access for Computer Horizons Corp. When Computer Horizons created the Chimes, Inc. subsidiary, Bill was in the first round of employees moved over, now as Operations Lead. Years after leaving, the subsidiary would be sold to Axium International for $80M; more than what the parent company was liquidated for.
Bill took this knowledge gained to Yahoo! Inc. where, as a Senior Technical Yahoo, he worked in the Operations Security and co-founded the Operations Engineering group. After Yahoo!, Bill went on to be one of the first non-founder employees at Powerset, designing the network and later on assuming the role of Director of Operations. Powerset was acquired by Microsoft as part of their Bing product. After a year at OpenDNS, Bill joined Facebook as Software Engineer working first on tools used internally by both the Engineering and Technical Operations departments (a role similar to Yahoo's Operations Engineering group) before moving into the Site Speed group, working on the performance of one of the largest web presences on the Internet.
