Bill Fields is a social entrepreneur and an officer in the U.S. Navy.
Prior to founding First In Education he served in the U.S. Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee as a research aide, in the White House National Economic Council as a policy aide, and as a grassroots organizer for a nationwide non-profit and two statewide high profile campaigns.
Bill has been published in the Journal of Economics and Finance and was the editor of the LSE Philosophy Journal, Rerum Causae. He has been featured in the Durham Herald Sun, Winston Salem Journal, and the N.C. State Technician for his community and political achievements. He has received awards from the John Locke Foundation, Foundation of Economic Education, Taiwan Ministry of Education, among others.
Bill is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and has competed in the U.S. Junior Olympics and U.S. Nationals.Bill received his MSc. in philosophy, public policy, and economics from the London School of Economics and his B.S. in business management, finance, and Spanish from the University of North Carolina Wilmington. In 2007 he received an ISEO scholarship to study economics under two Nobel Economists.
