Bernard Liautaud co-founded Business Objects in August 1990 with Denis Payre and led the company until it was acquired by SAP in 2008.
Bernard was the first Chief Executive Officer of Business Objects, then became Chairman and Chief Strategy Officer before moving to Balderton Capital in June, 2008.
Bernard has received a number of distinctions including “Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur†in 2007 in France, Time Magazine Europe’s Digital Top 25 and BusinessWeek Stars of Europe of 2002 and Top 10 CEOs in North America by Chief Executive Magazine in 2001.
