Ben Weiss is an Entrepreneur in Residence at Two Sigma Ventures. Ben was previously at Opera Solutions, where he served as director in the office of the chairman (2012 to 2014). In this role, he led investor relations and corporate development efforts, business development in Southeast Asia and Australia, as well as sales efforts at large customers in financial services, hospitality, telecom, and transportation. Prior to working at Opera Solutions, he was vice president of business development at StockTwits (2010 to 2012), where he led strategic partnerships and built a product for equity research firms to share content on StockTwits in a compliant manner. Ben also supported Social Leverage’s investments in BillGuard, eToro and several others startups during his tenure at StockTwits. Ben was previously an associate at Greylock Partners in Israel (2008 to 2010), where he led investments in fintech (Wonga, Payoneer) and organized the FinTechIsrael forum for startups. He previously served as a senior associate at Opera Solutions (2005 to 2007) and an associate at MMG Partners (2003 to 2005). Ben holds an MBA in Finance and Entrepreneurship from INSEAD in Singapore and France (2008) and a BSc in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell’s College of Engineering (2003).
