Ben Temchine is the co-founder and President of Situate.
Situate is a free, multi-platform mobile app and marketplace for geo-tagged audio tours, subscriptions and conversations.
Before launching Situate, Ben had been producing and hosting major-market, syndicated and national radio programs including Talk of the Nation on NPR and The Bob Edwards Show on PRI. He has produced award winning radio documentaries, his reporting has been broadcast on national news programs including The World and Marketplace and he even co-presented the BBC Worldservices’s global call in show, World Have Your Say.
In preparation for a career in journalism, Ben dug ditches in Arkansas, washed dishes at a chuck wagon in Wyoming, was an assistant manager at Bloomingdale’s in New York and was a Small Business Development Volunteer in the Peace Corps in Diourbel, Senegal.
