Ben Homnick

Ben is a developer and entrepreneur currently serving as VP of Engineering at Genie Capital in Taipei.

Ben studied computer science engineering at the University of Michigan’s Engineering Global Leadership Honors Program, graduating Summa Cum Laude. He worked for Microsoft on a team designing features for its Office Communications Server (which later became Microsoft Lync) and has experience developing web applications for a variety of venture-backed clients.

Ben has lived and worked in Beijing and Taipei and is fluent in written and spoken Mandarin Chinese. In 2010, he opened a Taipei branch of his web consulting company, Azure Interactive, and is currently working as VP of Engineering at Genie Capital, a Taipei startup.
