Beatrice Farina joins Immediate Media - leading specialist content company - as Director of Corporate Marketing & Communications. Reporting to CEO Tom Bureau, she takes on responsibility for the development of the Immediate Media brand and will lead the company’s Communications, PR and Events team.
Most recently, Beatrice was VP Marketing Communications at Shazam, responsible for brand strategy and development, PR, digital media, events and communications as well as in-channel marketing. She also devised the global marketing communications strategies for Shazam product launches with partners such as Apple, Android, Nokia and RIM.
Today, Shazam has more than 250 million people using the service and it is available in over 200 countries.
As well as experience in running her own successful marketing consultancy and driving marketing strategies at entrepreneurial start-ups such as SpinVox and Stubbi, Beatrice has extensive expertise with global blue-chip telecoms brands such as Marconi and MSI, where she was a key member of the management team that successfully sold to Marconi. As Director of Brand Programmes at Marconi, Beatrice advised the executive team on its global brand and wireless strategy.
