Barry is a software engineer, entrepreneur, team leader and inventor of software applications for millions of users in several different markets. He is a two time winner of Chris Shipley’s DemoGod award and the inventor of the revolutionary Reality Fusion video interaction technology, which Guy Kawasaki called “the best demo he had ever seen.” Reality Fusion distributed over 6m products on the first generation web cams.
Barry started programming computers in 1972 on a DEC PDP-10, worked at Raytheon and Commercial Union Insurance, and then was an early employee at Lotus Development Corporation. He architected for Lotus 1-2-3 and Lotus Symphony, and then left for Borland where he developed the “guts” for Quattro Pro for Windows.
Since 1997, Barry has created five award-winning Internet conferencing services including SeeSaw, the first video chat site on the Internet; TeamView, CameraCafe, VidiTel and Festoon. He also developed the RTCX (Real Time Communications Exchange) architecture for multimedia web conferencing, which was sold by Santa Cruz Networks and became the foundation for a variety of other services such as CloudMeeting. With that as his background, Zorap is next for this serial entrepreneur.
