Ayinde Alakoye
Founder, CEO, Ayinde Alakoye, is a veteran of the radio and advertising industries with over 15 years experience in the field. Ayinde was the top advertising sales executive at WTOP in Washington, DC before moving to Clear Channel and later CBS/Infinity in Los Angeles. He secured the largest “direct†account in KFI’s history and produced and managed more than $3 million in incremental revenue for KLSX (home of Howard Stern) securing a reputation as one of the top radio sales executives in the country. In 2003, Ayinde founded Thumb Radio, a predecessor to Hitch Radio, securing a technology partnership with Clear Channel and leading sales, marketing, and strategic planning to support technology that bridged broadcast radio and cellular technologies. More recently, Ayinde worked as a Senior Manager for Client Development at Spot Runner, an internet-based ad agency focusing on the local advertising market, where he secured the company’s largest contract with Sony Pictures Entertainment and additional business from Angie’s List, Munchkin and others, as well as spearheaded a partnership with Universal McCann. These experiences led to the founding of Hitch Radio in 2009 with longtime friend and music industry expert Jamal Johnson. Ayinde received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing/Public Administration from Juniata College in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania.
