Aunkur is a technology veteran with more than 12 years of start-up experience in the mobile consumer and online spaces. Aunkur currently leads business development for value-added services for Google Wallet - in Google’s Commerce division.
Previously, Aunkur was Director of Business Development at AdMob (sold to Google for $750M in 2010) and a member of the early-stage business team. He led efforts to build AdMob’s iPhone and Android application developer network with a focus on strategic, category-building partnerships and evangelism of ad-supported models to the developer ecosystem. Prior to 2008, Aunkur managed AdMob’s west coast publisher business and kicked off market development efforts in APAC.
Prior to joining AdMob, Aunkur held various operational roles at July Systems (Sequoia-backed mobile start-up), ComScore Networks, and InfoSpace’s mobile division. Aunkur holds a BA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
