Arpita brings strong program management and software development experience from her six years at Microsoft Corporation. While at Microsoft, her primary focus was on database technologies and building database applications. She played a key role in shipping both internal and external Microsoft products.
Most recently, Arpita led the effort to implement SAP Data Warehousing technology used by Corporate Procurement for vendor analysis and reporting. She was the Development Lead of a team that developed, configured, and deployed the SAP Business Warehouse on SQL Server 2000 and Windows 2000 worldwide.
As a Program Manager in the database group, she and her team improved the performance of Universal Database Access technologies (ADO, OLEDB, ODBC) on Microsoft platforms. She gathered performance information and requirements from internal and external customers, analyzed performance issues, resolved the problems and drove the integration of solutions into the product.
She started her career at Microsoft by assisting developers and testers to implement and use internal tools for bug tracking and management. She also managed and supported code profilers to enhance productivity and performance of Microsoft software.
Arpita did her undergraduate work in Architecture from the Academy of Architecture, Bombay and earned a Master of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from Eastern Michigan University. Arpita also did graduate work at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
