Andrew Phillipps was CEO and co-founder of Active Hotels. The company sold hotel rooms on-line for over 10,000 hotels throughout Europe, and Andy sold the company to Priceline.com for $161 million in 2004. Andy then ran Priceline's international operations involving 300 people until Q4 2005 where he and his team grew the company to be the largest hotel booking company in Europe.

Subsequently, he bought into and was Chairman of Toptable (bought by Opentable). He is now an active angel investor and involved as a director in several start-ups. His current activities include lecturing in entrepreneurship at INSEAD and LBS, Chairman of i2o water, Director of Reevoo.com, and Director at Albion Ventures VCT.
