Andrew is a serial entrepreneur, most recently Co-Founding Magical Jaguar Inc, a mobile development house and digital consultancy.
A passionate advocate of mobile technologies and consumer internet services, Andrew is also a Contributing Editor at Wired Magazine and Chief Exec of independent film production company, Rising Stock Films.
After creating a subscription Atari fanzine then irreverent school magazine in his early teens, Andrew set up an IT consultancy; his school were his first client.
In 1998 Andrew started VirtualCities, a local business web portal with 150+ virtual cities around the UK. Early to market it pivoted into a successful web development company, exiting to CMG plc in 2000. Projects included the world’s first online digital video news archive (BritishPathe.com) with sister company Cambridge Imaging.
Later start-ups included “InTraining” an interactive personal fitness website with Olympian Dave Morgan, “DinnerDateAuctions” Europe’s first interactive SMS flirting service, was CTO of CRM and marketing startup “TelephoneWizard” and then created “playtxt” the world’s first location based mobile social network, in 2003.
From 2007 until December 2010, Andrew was Founder and CEO at the personalization and recommendation company Rummble.
Andrew was until recently on the board of UnLtdWorld, an online platform which connects and empowers social entrepreneurs which in January 2011 exited to The Guardian Media Group.
He remains on the advisory board of MLOVE (a next generation technology conference) and is also on the founding committee of SPICE (the European tech entrepreneur group) splitting his time between London, England and the U.S. West Coast.
