Andrew Bocking was the former Executive Vice President of Software Product Management & Ecosystem at Blackberry. He was responsible for the Product Management for the BlackBerry 10 platform, our ecosystem of app and content partners, and consumer services such as BBM and BlackBerry World.
Andrew was responsible for product management activities in all phases of the product development process, such as idea generation, concept evaluation, definition and planning, design and implementation, commercialization and in-market activities. Other responsibilities include identifying new product initiatives and business opportunities.
Prior to his current role, Andrew held the title of SVP, BlackBerry Handheld Software Product Management where he was responsible for a team that managed the planning and launch execution of new BlackBerry handheld software features. Initially Andrew joined the product management organization of BlackBerry in September 2000, focusing on the in-market management of the BlackBerry Internet Service product line. In this role, he drove subscriber growth, marketing plans and initiatives, and managed new product introductions for this product line.
Andrew holds an Honours Bachelor of Applied Science degree from Queen’s University in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
