Anand Iyer

Anand is the CTO and co-founder of Hitpost.com, makers of OnSports. He was previously the Director of Product Management at IGN Entertainment. He leads all mobile and connected system related efforts for IGN. Prior to IGN, Anand was a Senior Product Manager at Microsoft and worked on the Developer / Application Platform for Windows Phone 7. Anand joined Microsoft in January 2005 as a Developer Evangelist, Microsoft’s ambassador to the technical community of Northern California. He has spoken at over a hundred conferences on a variety of topics. Anand is actively involved in the startup community in the Silicon Valley and worked closely with Microsoft’s Emerging Business Team empowering startups to launch their business on the Microsoft platform. Before joining Microsoft, Anand worked for Cisco Systems’ New Business Ventures team, pioneering XML-based manageability solutions. During his five-year tenure as a Senior Software Engineer, Anand led a geographically dispersed engineering team in the conception, architecture, product positioning, packaging and development of a new Interface technology for Cisco devices.

Anand graduated from Purdue University with a degree in Computer Engineering.
