Amir Peleg, CEO and co-founder of YaData, is a serial entrepreneur having founded Unipier (Cash-U Mobile Technologies Ltd.) in 2000 and EVS in 1991.
During his time with Unipier, Amir, together with co-founder Prof. Rann Smorodinsky, led three rounds of financing (totaling $24M) from top tier VCs and led the company strategy, organization, and sales to annual revenues of $5M.
Prior to Unipier, Amir was one of the founders of EVS Ltd. (Elbit Vision Systems, a subsidiary of Elbit Ltd., NASDAQ: EVSNF), and played a key role in its management and sales & marketing activities in Europe and Japan. In 1996, Amir established and managed EVS-US, the US subsidiary of EVS.
Amir holds a B.Sc. degree in Mathematics, Physics, and Computer Science from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (via the IDF TALPIOT program) and an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. As a teenager, Amir won a special prize for young inventors from the Weizmann Institute, Israel.
