I am an accountant and have been working in practice since 2002. Apart from my day job, I enjoy networking professionally and socially with like minded individuals. I am also currently training for ACCA, currently at the professional stage of the exams.
As much as I love the profession, I am always looking to make accountancy more enjoyable. As my latest venture, I have launched AccountantsWorld, The Social Network for Accountants.
My accountancy software knowledge varies from softwares such as VT Transaction and TransactionPlus Bookkeeping and Accounts Production, Keytime Corporation Tax, Personal Tax and Payroll, Sage, Quickbooks, Viztopia Accounts Production, Iris Accounts and Tax Production.
General software knowledge varies from softwares such as Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and Publisher. I am very comfortable using Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and 7.
I have been the cultural secretary and an executive member of the Bangladesh Welfare Society of Barnet since 2005. This is a charity organisation setup for Bengalis in Barnet. I voluntarily contribute my time in this organisation and have improved on my organisational, presentational and decision making skills, also communication skills at various levels of the hierarchy.
I speak fluent Bengali and also speak very good Urdu and Hindi. Specialties
Preparation of annual statutory accounts accompanied by corporation tax computations for SME clients. Preparation of monthly, quarterly and bi-annual management accounts and VAT returns. Assisting in weekly and monthly payroll processing. Preparation of individuals self assessment tax computations and returns. Maintaining a very dynamic portfolio of clients. Liaising with intricate clients in complex time restricted situations. Reporting directly to partners. Performing Audits on SME clients.
