Torrenegra started his first business at age 14 in Bogotá, Colombia, with the objective of buying his first computer. After migrating to the US he co-founded Bunny Inc., the company that created Voice123, VoiceBunny, and BunnyCast. Voice123 is a collection of tools and services to help voice actors get more jobs and manage their careers. VoiceBunny offers professional voices on-demand by tapping a crowd of thousands of voice actor working from pro studios. BunnyCast is a service for publishers that creates beautiful, human narrations of their articles automatically. Alex founded Torrenegra Labs, an incubator that was named one of the top immigrant owned startups in the US by Forbes Magazine. With Torrenegra Labs, Alex has co-founded and invested in several successful tech companies including WeHostels, VivaReal, and Dashbell. Alex also co-founded HubBOG, BogoDev, and BogoTech, the three largest communities of web entrepreneurs, software developers, and technologists in Colombia. In 2012 Alex was honored by MIT’s Technology Review with the TR35 Top Colombian Innovator of the Year award, in 2013 with the NYC Venture Fellowship by the City of New York, and also in 2013 with the High-Impact Entrepreneur title by Endeavor. Alex is a regular speaker on entrepreneurship, bootstrapping, crowdsourcing, and immigration.
