With the vision to provide consumers a free, accurate, and fast Internet-based directory assistance alternative, Alex Algard founded WhitePages.com in 1997.
Initially started as a hobby, and incorporated in 2000, WhitePages.com has been profitable since inception. As CEO, Alex is primarily focused on how to best translate user needs into a great service offering and strategic direction. Alex is also the founder of CarDomain Network, the leading online community for car enthusiasts. In 2007 Alex was selected as the Software Entrepreneur of the Year, Pacific Northwest by Ernst & Young and as a finalist for Inc. magazineâ€™s Entrepreneur of the Year.
Alex began his career in investment banking with the Goldman Sachs High Technology Group. Alex holds a BA in Economics and a MS in Engineering, both from Stanford University.
