Alda joined the investment team of 137 Ventures in 2013. In addition to her work at the fund, she manages the TechFellow awards program, which provides grants to entrepreneurs to make investments in startups. Alda also serves on the board of Sproutkin, a children’s educational service and book delivery platform that she co-founded.
Previously, she was the chief operating officer of Airtime, a consumer Internet company focused on video communications founded by Sean Parker and Shawn Fanning.
Prior to that, Alda served as general counsel to Founders Fund.
Earlier in her career, Alda was assistant general counsel at Clarium Capital Management, a hedge fund founded by Peter Thiel. She also practiced as a litigator specializing in intellectual property disputes at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati.
Prior to taking up the practice of law, Alda was a financial professional at The Walt Disney Company.
Alda holds a bachelor’s degree with honors in economics and political science from Stanford University and a juris doctor degree from the University of California, Los Angeles.
