Al Dobron is a Managing Director of Providence Equity Partners, based in the firm’s Providence office. Al is currently a director of Affinity Direct, Bustos Media, Hulu, Newport Television, NexTag, Trumper Communications III and Univision Communications, and was, during the period of Providence’s investment, a director of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG and BlueStone Television. Al is also actively involved with Yankees Entertainment and Sports Network. Prior to joining Providence in 1999, Al worked for Morgan Stanley in mergers and acquisitions. Previously, he held positions with the K.A.D. Companies, a private equity investment group, working primarily in an operating role with one of the firm’s portfolio companies. Al received a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire.
