Alan is a enterprise technology veteran who has worked at some of the industry’s leading companies as well as several disruptive startups, including Nicira, Airespace and Tahoe Networks.
Most recently, Alan was the VP of Marketing for Nicira, through VMware’s purchase of the company for $1.2 billion. Prior to that, he spent 6½ years as Cisco as the VP of Enterprise Solutions. He and his teams led the company into the Collaboration and Data Center markets as well as leading solution and product marketing for the Mobility, Routing, Switching & Security portfolios worldwide.
Prior to Cisco, Alan led marketing and product management at Airespace, a pioneering Enterprise Wireless LAN Company Cisco acquired in 2005 for $450 million.
Alan’s earlier professional experiences including management and executive roles at Cisco, IBM, U S WEST and Coopers & Lybrand. At IBM, Alan led the company into B-T-B internet commerce as the general manager of it’s World Distributor and net.Commerce platforms.
