Al Sutton is a UK based entrepreneur who is currently CEO of Funky Android which works in the mobile space, and a director of Enterprise Data Safe which sells a product for securing corporate passwords.
He grew up just outside of Reading in Berkshire, then moved to London to study at university, and lived in London until the turn of the century when he moved out to Kent.
He has a worked on a number of open source projects, worked on projects for a number of large companies including JP Morgan Chase Manhattan, Cable and Wireless, Deutsche Bank, and Reuters, and worked with a number of small companies.
He was responsible for taking one of the UKs top 10 credit card providers from operating on a set of servers in the back office to a hosted, geographically redundant processing infrastructure. The payment provider in question was later acquired by PayPoint plc for over 12 million GBP.
