Adriano Farano

Adriano Farano is co-founder of Watchup, a startup that is bringing the power of video journalism to the tablet age with an iPad app that lets you build your very own newsreel from trusted news channels. Adriano is an EiR at StartX, the Stanford startup accelerator in Palo Alto, California and he has been serving as digital media strategist for OWNI/Tactilize in San Francisco, CA. Adriano was a ‘11 Knight fellow at Stanford, where he did research on new ways to augment the news experience on tablets. He previously served as VP, Business Development at OWNI France, awarded twice the best non-English news site award by the Online News Association. Previously to OWNI, Adriano co-founded and ran cafebabel.com, a pan-European online media outlet entirely translated in 6 languages with offices in 35 European cities. Adriano created his first (and last) newspaper at age nine.
