Adam D’Angelo is the Co-Founder of Quora.
He previously served as Chief Technology Officer at Facebook, where he led the Platform Development and Data teams and oversees new product design and architecture. In addition, he guided the site’s infrastructure to ensure expansion and scalability.
Prior to ascending to the CTO position, Adam worked as Facebook’s Director of Data Mining and Distributed Systems for ad targeting, collaborative filtering and spam detection. In 2005, Adam was one of the top 24 finalists in the international Topcoder Collegiate Challenge, which tests the ability to design and implement complex algorithms in a timed environment. Adam holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from the California Institute of Technology.
