Adam Berrey is an entrepreneur and startup executive with almost 20 years of experience in the internet and enterprise software industries.
Currently, Adam is the CEO and Co-Founder of Curoverse, Inc., which is building an open source platform for genomic and biomedical big data. Since 2009, Adam has also been an active angel investor and adviser working with a number of venture capital firms and a wide range of startups including Placester and Promoboxx.
Prior to his current work, Adam served as SVP, Marketing & Strategy at Brightcove (BCOV), responsible for developing and implementing Brightcove’s marketing and business strategies. Adam joined Brightcove from Onfolio where he was President and part of the founding team responsible for launching the company in 2004. (Microsoft purchased Onfolio.)
Before Onfolio, Adam was the VP, Marketing at Macromedia where he led the launch of the Macromedia MX platform for rich internet applications (RIA). Adam joined Macromedia when they merged with Allaire in 2001. He was part of the founding team at Allaire, and during his five year tenure, he held a variety of positions leading strategic marketing and business efforts in product management, product marketing, marketing communications, and business strategy helping to grow the company from $500,000 to more than $100 million in annual revenue, an IPO, and a peak market capitalization that was over $2 billion.
