SendMeHome is a free web-based application that generates unique ID tags for their items.

Description

Update

SendMeHome allows users to assign a unique code, called a SendMeHome ID, to any physical item. These unique codes allow users to use the two key features of the site: SendMeHome Lost and Found Service, and SendMeHome Stories With the SendMeHome Lost and Found Service, users can place uniquely coded labels on their valuables such as iPods, cell phones, and digital cameras. If a registered item is lost, anyone who finds it can return it to its rightful owner via SendMeHome.com. SendMeHome Lost and Found is a free service. SendMeHome Stories allows a user to give an objective and a destination to any physical item. The item can then be sent off on a "journey". The SendMeHome website allows everyone who comes into contact with the device to post stories, pictures, and videos about the item's journey.
