As the first vertical B2C website of cosmetics, JuMei.com positions itself as the most professional e-commerce website for women’s services. It focuses on the potential cosmetics market, so that it can avoid conflicting with mainstream B2C giants. Furthermore, it provides women with the top-selling 20% makeup product. Within three years, JuMei.com went from 100,000 Yuan in monthly sales to 500,000,000 Yuan.

Jumei have raised venture funding from a string of investors, including angel investor Xu Xiaoping and Sequoia Capital.
Chen Ou is founder of JuMei.com. In 2005, he founded an online gaming platform, Gerena, when he was in school and then started his second venture, Jumei.com. At age 16, he was accepted to Nanyang Technological University in Singapore with a scholarship. Chen obtained a Stanford MBA when he was 26 years old.
Today, JuMei.com is a leading cosmetics e-commerce platform in China whose product line-up includes brands such as Calvin Klein, Estee Lauder, Avon, and Elizabeth Arden. JuMei.com currently has four million registered users.
