Detailed Description

Update

Equal parts research community and institute of higher learning, the Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia, provides students with an innovative liberal arts education that emphasizes interdisciplinary study, professional schools, and one of the Southeast’s leading healthcare systems.

The school was founded by the Methodist Episcopal Church and takes pride in its affiliation with the United Methodist Church. Although programs are not religiously oriented, except those at the Chandler School of Theology, the school believes that an education can be a positive moral force in both society and personal lives of its students.

Academics at the school include a full range of programs, from undergraduate degrees to graduate and professional instruction. Many programs are cross-disciplinary, but are grounded in fields like the liberal arts, business, theology, and health care professions.

Study abroad opportunities are offered to students looking to become global citizens through study, service, and research.

More than 20 residence halls are available and are required for first-year and second-year students.

The school offers many scholarships, as well as federal and state grants and loans, to students eligible to receive financial aid.

Admissions are reviewed individually, meaning there are no minimum requirements for acceptance.
