BeautyArmy launched on January 1st, 2012 with a targeted sampling program that allowed users to provide explicit data through a user profile and match them to targeted products making the buying experiences of these products quick, fun and, easy.
The online beauty and personal care market is a $6B industry (USA, 2012 total revenues) and is growing at a rate of 35%. The buying process is online for these products is dismal and consumers waste significant time and money buying the wrong products.
BeautyArmy expanded its recommendation platform to a full-size e-commerce shop in January of 2014 and saw incredible metrics:
- 26% of users who get recommended a product, add that product to their cart - 33% of users who use our service, use it again - 100% month/month growth
The recommendation platform was built in-house to be turn key for retailers to use to increase their revenues.
The team is comprised of dedicated talent from: MIT, NASA, Pepsi, Estee Lauder and Sephora.
The company has grossed over $1M in revenues and has been featured in: TIME Magazine, TechCrunch, GigaOM and Entrepreneur Magazine.
