When Lockheed Martin Corporation closed its Postal Division in 1996, a cadre of specialists in retail information technology from that group reassembled as a new company—Innovations Group.
Since that time, Innovations Group has put its collective experience to work for the benefit of a wider retail customer base from its offices in California, North Carolina and the Washington, D.C., area.
From the outset, Innovations Group specialized in providing services to the United States Postal Service, focusing on hardware and equipment development, software and application development, help desk and customer support, and management and training services.
Today, Innovations Group provides these same systems and solutions to the retail and financial industries, including such corporate accounts such as IBM, Lockheed Martin and EDS, as well as USPS.
In 2004, Innovations Group was one of a select few companies recognized as outstanding small information technology vendors by Lockheed Martin Corporation.
