With the establishment of the first online shops a discounter in 2001 took over the Tengelmann Group a pioneer in the e-commerce industry. 2010, the Tengelmann Group one step further and build the e-commerce activities of the entire group continues. The Tengelmann Ventures GmbH, a 100 percent subsidiary of the Tengelmann Group participates, under the motto “Funding your ideas” in rapidly growing young company and is already one of the significant start-up investors in Germany. The investment focus is on e-commerce and social commerce concepts, market places, Internet and Web 2.0 technologies. It also offers financing and management know-how and infrastructure.
