Spyglass Ventures was formed in early 2008 by Scott Saunders and David Wood to invest in seed and early stage companies. They have offices in west Los Angeles and Laguna Beach, California. Spyglass offers investment capital, strategic advice, capital raising assistance and executive recruiting for entrepreneurial teams starting businesses.

Spyglass Ventures work for their entrepreneurs. To be successful they must help create value. They want to invest in business where their skills and experiences can be useful to entrepreneurs. They want to be the first call for counsel. They find that the best way to reduce what many consider the natural friction between entrepreneurs and investors is to work hard to prove their value and earn the respect of management.
