Mexican.VC is a seed-stage program in out of Silicon Valley targeting early-stage technology companies that are based in Mexico. 75 companies applied to the first “class” in February 2011, of which 16 were selected to interview in Mexico City. Seven companies were invited to join the program in July of 2011.

Teams receive two rounds of investment: in the first round, the team receives $20k in exchange for 15% of the future company - in the second round, Mexican.VC invests $100k for a further 10% of the team and incorporates the company as a US Delaware C Corporation.

In August 2012, Mexican.VC was acquired by 500 Startups.
