Microsoft’s HealthVault Be Well Fund is designed to stimulate not-for-profit research and development across a broad range of health disciplines that have the potential to significantly improve health outcomes for patients.
The fund was initially $3 million, but after receiving nearly 200 proposals Microsoft increased the size of the fund to $4.5 million.
Fund recipients will be announced at the HealthVault Solutions Conference, taking place June 9-10, 2008 in Bellevue, WA.
The panel of judges who will determine the recipients includes Adam Bosworth and Newt Gingrich.
