BASF Venture Capital GmbH is the corporate venture capital company of BASF Group. They are based in Ludwigshafen, Germany and have offices in Fremont, USA as well as Hong Kong, China. They focus on innovative technologies and materials which are based on chemistry. Together with BASF Future Business GmbH, of which they are a 100% subsidiary, they develop new business fields.
An interdisciplinary team of scientists and financial experts manages the global evaluation and investment process. BASF’s know-how and research facilities are used in this investment process. They use their fund of 100 million Euro to invest into innovative start up companies.
