| Description | Mapping Data in Your Town |
Your Mapper takes public and private data and turns it into embedded interactive maps.
The platform can handle millions of points of address locations per map. The government or company that provides the data source can embed a map into their own site.
Once loaded, most data is viewable to the public for free on yourmapper.com, which also provides a mobile version, RSS and KML data feeds, and a programming developer API. Anyone can grab the maps for embedding into their own site or blog too.
The service is national in scope with data like meth lab busts, historic sites, and toxic pollution sources. There is currently state-wide data for California and Kentucky. Municipal data coverage includes crime, restaurant health reviews, property values, real estate, political contributions and/or building permits for Albuquerque, Anchorage, Cincinnati, Fort Worth, Louisville, Miami Beach, San Jose, and Washington DC.
